Scenario goals Build rapport, take a focused mood and functional history, complete a respectful safety and risk assessment, and agree on initial next steps together. Expected findings The patient is guarded at first and becomes more open with empathetic questioning. There is no active plan to self-harm. Facilitation notes Observe nonjudgmental language, a clear and direct risk assessment, and a collaborative, shared plan.
